Welcome to Mambo Vipi, the online edition. Grab a warm Tusker, a kilo of miraa and let’s mazungumzo a spell.
I have begun this blog in the hopes that it will serve as an information clearinghouse for the group of returned Peace Corps volunteers who served in Kenya, East Africa, from 1985 to 1987. I have sent invitations to you all in the hopes that we can post updates, contact information, recollections and vintage photographs from our experiences. I have limited the access to the site to those who have received — or will in the future receive — invitations. I don’t think we need to take this venture public just yet, if ever, but I’ll leave that to the consensus of the group. From here, we can post links to our various Web site, whether they be blogs, work-related or photo-sharing sites such as Flickr or what have you.
I have listed myself as monitor of the site, but we will all have editing capabilities and say in where this goes, if anywhere. In that regard, please let me know if you want to be involved with this and I will help you set up access.
That’s all I can think of for now. I remain your humble servant, Beez
